PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Diethylene glycol (Diethylene glycol), a polyalcohol, chemical formula C4H10O3, colorless, odorless, transparent, hygroscopic viscous liquid, with a pungent sweet taste, non-corrosive, low toxicity.

PRODUCT USAGE

1. Mainly used as gas dehydrating agent and aromatics extraction solvent. Also used as nitrocellulose, resins, oils and fats, printing inks and other solvents, textile softeners, finishing agents, as well as from coal tar in the extraction of coumarone and indene. In addition, diethylene glycol is also used as brake fluid matching agent, celluloid softener, antifreeze and emulsion polymerization diluent. Also used in rubber and resin plasticizers; polyester resin; fiber glass; urethane foam; lubricant viscosity improver and other products. Used in the synthesis of unsaturated polyester resin.

2. Used as synthetic unsaturated polyester resin, plasticizer and so on. It is also used as antifreeze, gas dehydrating agent, plasticizer, solvent, aromatics extraction agent, cigarette hygroscopicity agent, textile lubricant and finishing agent, glue and anti-drying agent of various glues, moisture-absorbing co-solvent of reducing dyes, and so on. It is a common solvent for grease, resin, nitrocellulose and so on. [2]

3. Diethylene glycol is an important raw material in the synthesis of polyurethane. Polyurethane is an elastic polymer material that is widely used in furniture, automobiles, construction, textiles, waterproof coatings, adhesives and other fields. Diethylene glycol, as a raw material for the soft section of polyurethane, can improve the flexibility of the material, and can also play the role of crosslinking agent.

4. Diethylene glycol is used as solvent and humectant to dissolve dyes, paints and inks, etc. It is an important raw material for printing, dyestuff and coating industries. It is also used as fluid for electrical purposes such as brake fluid and capacitor fluid. In cosmetics and skin care products, diethylene glycol can be used as a humectant and emollient to improve the moisturization and feel of the product.
